Nunavut premier’s website now online

Premier Eva Aariak announced in the Legislature March 23 the launch of a new website for the premier’s office.

The site, at www.premier.gov.nu.ca, contains multimedia, press materials and documents. It also contains a series of interviews conducted by former CBC radio broadcaster Jonah Kelly.

“These improvements to communications are only the beginning,” Aariak told the house.

“In the coming year, we will be outlining many other improvements to the way our government transmits and receives information.”

Aariak has pledged to improve the GN’s communications capacity, including an overhaul of the government’s main website and encouraging employees to answer their telephones.
