Aboriginal homeless shelter seeks support
Needs food, kitchen utensils
Projets Autochtones du Québec (PAQ), a Montreal organization which runs a shelter for the city’s aboriginal homeless, is asking for support and donations this winter.
The organization is looking for donations of new or used blankets for its 42-bed shelter and to distribute to its First Nations, Métis and Inuit clientele who sleep on the streets.
The downtown shelter opens daily from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., offering free accommodation, meals and support services.
PAQ is also in need of donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, kitchen utensils and monetary contributions.
Montreal-area residents can contact PAQ at (514) 879-3310. The organization can arrange to pick up blankets and goods or they can be dropped off in person at 90 de la Gauchetière Street.
