A precious baby arrives in Arviat

Our precious paninnaa is here: a first-time niece for Jamie and Wendy, and a nukaq for Kadin Copland.

June Naujaaq Savikataaq was born on May 29, 2010 at 11:54 pm at the Woman’s Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba  weighing eight pounds, two ounces and measuring 51 centimetres.

The proud parents are Joe Jr. and Lillian Savikataaq. The loving grandparents are Joe Sr. and Susan Savikataaq and attatsiaq Paul Kablutsiak.

The great-grandfather is Len O’Halloran of Wakefield, New Brunswick

A very special thank you to Dudley and Siuqpaat Copland and to their little family as well big thanks to all the nurses and the entire staff at the Arviat Health Centre in Nunavut.
