Candidates for Iqaluit DEA election announced
Education bodies to hold staggered elections
Four candidates will contest the Dec. 13 election for three seats on the Iqaluit District Education Authority.
Jack Anawak, Corinne Attagutsiak, Matthew Ayres and Heather Fanjoy will be in the running, chief returning officer Kirt Ejesiak announced in a news release Nov. 15.
Under Nunavut’s new Education Act, DEA elections are staggered every two years.
The other four seats on the IDEA will be up for grabs in 2013.
