Resident hands dope stash over to Nunavut cops
Package with hash oil, bricks of hash, found near beach in Pond Inlet
A concerned resident of Pond Inlet turned in more than $23,000 worth of hashish to the RCMP last week.
Police spokesman Sgt. Jimmy Akavak said that on April 3 someone in Pond Inlet gave the package to an off-duty RCMP saying they found it on the beach near the community.
In the package, Police found 73 vials of hash oil, two bricks of hash and two other packages of hash wrapped in foil.
Police estimate its street value at $23,380 but have not laid any charges.
