Three Iqaluit men wanted for home invasion, sexual assault
RCMP seek info about early morning attack in Lower Base
The Iqaluit RCMP is asking the public for information about a violent incident in which three men broke into a home in the Lower Base area of Iqaluit and sexually assaulted a woman.
The attack occurred around 4:30 a.m., Oct. 13 in the 700s area, an RCMP press release says.
The main attacker, police said, is an Inuk man of about 30. He is described as being about 5’ 7” in height with a slim build, clean-shaven, and with a spot on his teeth. The woman has described all three attackers as Inuit men, police said.
Police spokesman Sgt. Jimmy Akavak said the investigation continues and that anyone with information about the incident should call the RCMP at 1-867-979-1111 or the Crimestoppers number at 1-800-222-8477.
The RCMP press release describes the incident as “isolated.”
