Aboriginal journalism scholarship

Canadian Press is offering a $4,000 scholarship to aboriginal Canadians in memory of Gillis Purcell, who was general manager of CP from 1945 to 1969.

Inuit students can apply if they are enrolled in a journalism program at a Canadian university or community college, or if they are actively involved with a student paper or radio station.

The scholarship comes with an offer of summer employment at CP. Deadline is November 15.
