Accused murderer awaits trial date

Jeremy Kuuk, 29, faces trial for a second degree murder charge. A preliminary hearing was held in Bake Lake Feb. 11 to 12.

Kuuk is accused of beating Samuel Nagyougalik, 40, to death on Oct. 2. Initial police reports said Nagyougalik died of “blunt force trauma.”

A trial date will be set in April.
