The 18th annual Alianait Arts Festival is set to return to Iqaluit this summer with local and international artists taking the stages from June 30 to July 3.
The festival showcasing Inuit and circumpolar music, dance and visual arts announced Thursday it will return to an in person event for the first time in two years after the pandemic forced it to temporarily adopt a virtual format.
This summer’s lineup includes Logan & Layla Staats, Silla, Shauna Seeteenak, Greenland’s National School of Theatre production Angakkussaq, Mike Paul Kuekuatsheu, Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory, Jenseeraq x Ummatit, FXCKMR, 666god, Kimmernaq and Uyarakq.
The festival will take place under the Canadian North Big Top Tent.
Attendees will be able to purchase tickets through Eventbrite, at the door or at Ventures. Further information, including ticket prices, was not available Thursday.
More programming and information will be available at www.alianait.ca, through Facebook, Instagram and on the Alianait App.
