Alianait is looking for performers to fill out its fall festival line-up.

The Nunavut arts organization will be celebrating its 18th annual arts festival online this year, on Nov. 20 and 21.

Northern applications will be considered for artists who live in Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavik, Nunatsiavut, or internationally in places like Greenland, Alaska, Scandinavia and Russia.

The festival is seeking applications from artists whose musical performance style is “culturally or linguistically linked to Inuit or Indigenous tradition or culture,” Alianait said in a Friday release.

“We are looking forward to a diverse selection of music from both national and international applicants.”

Applications are available now at Alianait’s website. The deadline to apply is Sept. 25.

Alianait’s selection committee will contact the successful artists by early October, the organization said.
