Kuujjuaq residents take part in a race organized by the local recreation committee on Monday, Aug. 16. The route ran just over 10 kilometres, from the Tumiapiit Daycare to the fork in the roads leading to the marina and back. Albert Roy took the top prize for men under-39, with a time of 45 minutes and 40 seconds. Nicolas Gauthier won the men’s over-40 category, with 54 minutes and 20 seconds. Tusaajiapik Imbeault won the women’s under-40 category with one hour, 8 minutes and 23 seconds. And Isabelle Dubois won the women’s over-50 category with one hour, 19 minutes and 32 seconds.
