Arctic Bay hunter lands his 1st narwhal

Cody Kilabuk, 19, stands behind the narwhal he caught near Arctic Bay on Aug. 9. Kilabuk said he caught the narwhal alone from a 14-foot boat using a harpoon and rifle. The narwhal was the first he’s ever harvested and its tusk was more than 2.3 metres long, he said. (Photo courtesy of Cody Kilabuk)

Not his first narwhal. His first all by himself. He has caught many in the past.
