Arctic College students show their work

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

The annual jewelry, metalwork and print exhibition by Arctic College students is scheduled to open Friday evening at Nunatta Sunakkataangit Museum in Iqaluit.

The works include jewelry created by the 27 jewelry and metalwork students in Iqaluit, Cambridge Bay, Coral Harbour and Kuujjuarapik. Some of the artists will be in attendance, and four students from the printmaking program in Cape Dorset will be flying in for the opening.

About 150 pieces in total will be on display. Most of the works will be for sale.

The collection is smaller than usual this year, Tracy Lee of Arctic College said. There were fewer students and fewer participating communities this year.

The exhibition will be on display in Iqaluit until July 1. The opening takes place on June 7 at 7 p.m.
