Around Nunavut

Christopher Bishop, the 21-year-old charged in connection with shootings that left three dead and two injured in Cambridge Bay on Jan. 6, will appear at the Nunavut Court of Justice in Iqaluit on Feb. 6.

Bishop did not appear in court last Friday, as expected, and waived his right to a bail hearing. At that time a judge set the date for Bishop’s first appearance.

The judge has ordered a publication ban on evidence presented in court.

Bishop faces three counts of first-degree murder, and two counts of attempted murder.
