Arsonist targets Bank of Montreal

An arsonist recently hit the Bank of Montreal in Iqaluit, setting off a sprinkler system that flooded the bank’s main foyer, causing serious damage.

Around midnight on Aug. 11, police responded to a call about a fire at the bank, which closed as a result of damages. An investigator said the arsonist set off the sprinkler system by lighting a bulletin board on fire.
