Bright lights, big playground

The city of Iqaluit plans to install one set of lights and a crosswalk at the new playground by Joamie school.

The popular playground currently isn’t lit at all, council heard on Oct. 25. The original proposal included installing two sets of lights, but because one set would hang over school property, council decided to let the school handle the installation of that one themselves.

The sidewalk will be marked across Abe Okpik Road.
