The Cambridge Bay Family Wellness offices have closed temporarily due to staff shortages, the Department of Family Services announced Thursday.

Wellness offices in the hamlet were closed Nov. 7 and will remain closed until Nov. 14, department spokesperson Anthony Canny said in a news release.

Canny advised that during the closure limited staffing resources will be available to provide urgent services “such as family visits and assisting clients to and from appointments.”

“Calls will continue to go to the Family Wellness offices in this community but there may be delays during this time,” he said.

Some service reductions or closures may change based on staff availability, he added.

I think you have things confused. What’s “closed” is the GN’s Department of Family Wellness which includes Family Services. What’s shown in the photo is the Hamlet’s Wellness Centre run by the Hamlet’s Department of Healthy Living.
