Cell phones in Iqaluit: no signal, no server

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

I was reading your article “Cell phone company expands into Nunavut” on cell phones going to Pangnirtung, and I agree that all of Nunavut should have cell phone services.

But what I don’t agree with is that they’re moving the service across Nunavut.

What they really should be doing is updating our server! Thirty per cent of the time I don’t get a signal with my cell phone, or the “server is down”

I just think it’s unfair that we have to pay $70 dollars a month for a plan when half the time the server is down — like today.

I would bring this to whoever is in charge of the service, but I’m not sure who I should contact. I think its totally ridiculous and it gets very frustrating.
