Christmas parties in Ottawa and Montreal
Inuit living in Ottawa and Montreal can get a taste of Christmas in the North this weekend.
Tungasuvvingat Inuit is holding its annual Christmas potluck dinner on Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 151 Laurier Street East in Ottawa.
TI says “please bring a salad, side dish or dessert.”
The party gets under way at 4:30 p.m. and Santa Claus will be on hand with treats for the children.
The Montreal Inuit Association’s Christmas party is also planned for Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Paul’s Anglican Parish Hall in Lachine. The country foods supper starts at 6 p.m., followed by a visit from Santa with gifts for the children.
Organizer Victor Mesher welcomes contributions of desserts and help from any volunteers who arrive early.
