City sets date to register for Iqaluit sports, community groups
Annual mass registration day gives people chance to browse groups and sign up, all at one event

Mass registration day — the chance to sign up for numerous sports leagues and community organizations, all in one place — is coming soon in Iqaluit.
This year’s mass signup is scheduled for Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Arctic Winter Games Arena, the City of Iqaluit announced Wednesday.
Typically, the event sees different community and sports groups set up tables on the arena floor. That allows people to check out the variety of organizations and easily register for one or more of them.
In the announcement, the city advised that groups wishing to take part have until Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. to reserve a table.
Requests should include the group’s name, contact person, an email and phone number.
