Climate change protest in Iqaluit

Jennifer Ellsworth, a Grade 10 student at Inuksuk High School in Iqaluit, walked out of school with about 100 students on the morning of Wednesday, June 5, to march to the legislature to call on Nunavut’s leaders to take action on climate change as part of a protest on World Environment Day. It’s great that the kids want to get involved but here is a crazy idea. Stay in school, learn how to help or even fix the issue, become a leader and make the changes your yelling about.

I personally don’t think a walkout to bring awareness to climate change is necessary as by now everyone know about it.
