An incident in Clyde River early Monday was resolved “peacefully,” says a Nunavut RCMP spokesperson.

At 9 a.m. the Nunavut RCMP tweeted that it was investigating “an unfolding incident” in Clyde River without providing any details. The police urged people to “stay away from the affected area” but did not specify what was taking place or where it was happening.

At 12 p.m., the RCMP tweeted that the situation was resolved. “Clyde River RCMP thanks the community for their cooperation,” said a tweet.

When asked Monday afternoon for more information, police spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Keller did not offer any details and only said that it was resolved “peacefully and without incident.”
