College teachers display art

IQALUIT — Nunavut Arctic College is having its first ever faculty art show.

The show, running May 8-29 at Iqaluit’s Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum, features contemporary jewelry, prints, paintings and pottery.

All 17 of the artists who contributed works to the show are current or former teachers in the college’s fine arts and crafts program. Many of the works will be available for purchase.

A reception will be held at the museum on May 22. Several of the local artists will be in attendance.
