Marching against violence against women in Nunavut
About 25 Iqaluit residents took part in a march from the Igluvut building to the museum on Dec. 6, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. Later, about 50 gathered for a ceremony that included a speech by Commissioner Nellie Kusugak, drum dancing, and the laying of yellow roses in memory of women and girls who died by violence in Nunavut.
