Community-wide power outage in Rankin Inlet planned for this weekend

Qulliq Energy Corp. is telling people in Rankin Inlet to be ready for a planned power outage this weekend.
The outage is scheduled to occur May 25 from 4 a.m. until 11 a.m., the company said in a news release.
The outage will affect the entire community.
The corporation needs to cut power in order to install a new control system for monitoring and managing power plant functions in the community, the release said.
