Coral Harbour snowed in

The road to Coral Harbour’s airport usually takes about 20 minutes to drive – this year the drive takes much longer due to the large amount of snowfall.

Recently, a medical evacuation was delayed by two hours until the road could be cleared. That’s the story Patterk Netser, MLA for Nanulik, related in the legislature to illustrate his community’s “significant” problems with snow removal this year.

Netser said municipal snow removal crews in Coral Harbour are overwhelmed. He’s lobbying on behalf of the community for more money from the GN’s department of community and government services and transportation to help with snow removal.
