Court date set for “home brew” stabbing case
A 32-year-old Pond Inlet woman accused of stabbing her common law spouse on Dec. 23 will appear in court April 16.
Cpl. Grant MacDonald said Susan Quaraq and her common law spouse were attending a “home brew party.” At about 11:30 p.m., a dispute started, and Quaraq is alleged to have stabbed the man in the back.
The non-fatal wound was treated at the health centre.
Quaraq was released with the condition she appear in April. She is facing one charge of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon endangering public peace.
