Cover contest

The deadline for NorthwesTel’s annual directory cover art contest is Sept. 27.

A separate competition is being held for each of the three directories NorthwesTel issues in Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Northern B.C./Yukon. Current residents of these regions are eligible as long as their work hasn’t appeared on a NorthwesTel directory in the past four years.

Each artist may submit two pieces and the works must be two-dimensional original art, such as oil, acrylic, watercolour or silkscreen, or three-dimensional such as sculptures and carvings. The art cannot already have been exhibited, published or reproduced in any format.

Entries should be submitted as a photo print or slide, or e-mailed as a .jpg or .tif file.

Each of the three selected entrants will receive $1,500. Last year 75 entries were received.
