Crown and defence make joint submission

Moonie Ineak, 41, was fined $1,200 and placed on probation for one year after pleading guilty to drug possession.

Ineak and another man were found in possession of about 40 grams of marijuana on April 19. The other man is scheduled to appear in court in July.

The Crown and defence entered a joint submission based on Ineak’s lack of a prior criminal record and his early guilty plea.

“It’s very unfortunate you come before the court at your age,” said Judge Mary Hetherington.
