Draw up your will in Kuujjuaq

Makivik Corporation’s legal wills project is bringing a notary to Kuujjuaq Oct. 3 to 7. The notary will help beneficiaries draw up wills, free of charge to everyone over 55.

A will is a legal document in which you say who will inherit your property and make sure that your final wishes are respected. A notarized will is recommended over other types of wills, such as the “legal wills kit” promoted on television, because these wills have to be approved by the Superior Court before they’re considered legal.
