Wow 2 sentences on reconciliation. Religating it to TWO sentences! There is so much more than 2 sentences to reconciliation. Reconciliation only touched HALF of what needs to be reconciled.

Thanks inexperience, nepotism, and lack of highly experienced Inuit leaders we have a real mediocre reconciliation agreement. Why do I say ‘lack of highly experienced Inuit leaders’ because there was NO direct compensation to the dogteam owners. No consideration nor direct compensation to the children of the day (most are grandparents now) who WITNESSED firsthand of their dad’s dogs being killed. Most of witnesses made a choice never to adopt dogs because of their unattended scars. Reconciliation negotiators (hired by limelight n glory seekers, Inuit leaders of the day did not consider the vast precise vocabulary lost in the world of surviving a harsh climate involved in one’s dogteam, or specifically Canadian Eskimo Husky dog, a 5 thousand year old breed. There was NO health component to this reconciliation to help heal all the 1st hand victims to this reconciliation. The owners, the witness and their new found settlements we know of today. Abandoning camps strategically located to harness the abundance of wildlife.

The victims are still out there with no compensation, no agreements to look after their wellness. All because of inexperienced, care, and no interest in doing it right in the first place from ELECTED Inuit leaders of the day. Federal n Territorial officials LOVED IT!

Well done Nunatsiaq News, relegation is also part of our societies problem today. Less information less appropriate threshold to be reached.
