Finns travel to Magnetic North Pole
An 11-member expedition from the Airborne Ranger Club of Finland is currently travelling on skis to the Magnetic North Pole. The party set out on March 10 from Resolute Bay.
The 950-kilometre trip is expected to take around 47 days. The team should be back in Resolute by May 1. The Airborne Ranger Club’s team has made several Arctic and mountain expeditions. More than half of the current crew were part of a group that skied across the Greenland glacier in 1999.
