Fire destroys Iqaluit shack

Iqaluit firefighters respond to a blaze at a shack near the city’s old cemetery Tuesday around 11:30 p.m., dousing the flames minutes after arriving. City of Iqaluit spokesperson Geoff Byrne says no injuries were reported. RCMP spokesperson Sgt. George Henrie says police responded as well but were told the fire department had it under control.
