Flash cards unveiled

A series of Inuktitut flash cards were unveiled late last month at a preschool in Iqaluit.

Jack Anawak, the minister of culture, language, elders and youth, showed the flash cards for the first time at the Inukshuk Infant Development Centre.

The cards will be distributed to all daycares across Nunavut as part of CLEY’s contribution to Literacy Week, which ends Oct. 4.

The flash cards were designed using bright colours and pictures to make learning Inuktitut easy and fun for pre-schoolers.
