Fleet-footed runners in Kuujjuaq

On Tuesday, Aug. 11, Kuujjuaq’s runners took part in a race organized by the Kuujjuaq Pinguatitsijingiit recreation committee. Here are the winners in the category for women aged 16 to 39, with recreation committee member Eva Kauki. From right to left: Amelia Whiteley Tukkiapik, first place, winner of a $500 prize; Jessie Munick, second place, winner of $400; Jeannie Makiuk, third place, winner of $300; and Emma Cain, fourth place, winner of $200.
