The Canadian flag flies above the federal building in Iqaluit on Friday. Although Saturday is National Flag of Canada Day, few Iqaluit businesses or residences had flags displayed prominently Friday. Flags also didn’t appear to be offered for sale at grocery stores. In a joint statement this week, Canada’s five surviving former prime ministers — Joe Clark, Kim Campbell, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin and Stephen Harper — urged Canadians to fly the flag on Saturday in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats against Canadian sovereignty. The “listen to us not them” is the message coming and repeated endlessly from establishment media as was recently heard on CCC, the Coss Country Checkup radio program. This when it was made public that USAID had 6 to 7000 individuals from the press on their books! Those who make it their businessto know where power is centered, as does Brian Berletic of The New Atlas, tells of governments especially in the West that act subservient to large corporations. In this day we need to listen to news from multiple sources with different agendas, and to remain critical in your thinking. Nakurmiik.
