Former city councillor makes first appearance

Former Iqaluit city councillor Simon Nattaq was scheduled to make his first appearance in connection with a sexual assault charge this week.

He appeared in court on Sept. 9 but the matter was adjourned until Sept. 12.

Nattaq resigned from city council on Aug. 13, a week after the charge was made public.
