Google offers a virtual tour of Nunavut’s Devon Island

This view over Astronaut Canyon on Nunavut’s Devon Island is brought to you via Google Street Views. The High Arctic island, the largest uninhabited island in the world, is the latest in Nunavut to be filmed and mapped for viewers at home to visit through Google’s online maps. The island’s desert-like surface and similarity to the planet Mars has made it the home of a NASA-funded field research project for astronauts called the Haughton-Mars Project.
