Greenland’s Andala rides again
Andala is back once again in Greenland. In the recently published “Andalas Største bedrifter II” – or Andala’s biggest achievements II, the comic strip hero manages to involve everyone in his exploits.
Through Andala, illustrator and author Nuka K. Godtfredsen takes a humorous look at life in Greenland, offering Greenlanders and Danes a glimpse into daily life and into Greenlandic ingenuity, as it plays out in the Arctic.
Through Andala, we can read about Greenland’s present and past through cartoons, says the book’s publisher BIOS.
Greenlanders are familiar with Andala from his weekly comic strip in Sermitsiaq, where readers have followed Andala’s adventures since 1997.
The comic strip’s main character, Andala, is based on Nuka’s real-life friend, Andala.
