Flat tire forces plane to land on ice instead of at airport
A Twin Otter plane from Kenn Borek Air sits on the ice near Iqaluit on Wednesday. The plane landed on the ice instead of Iqaluit’s airport the day before because it had a flat tire, requiring it to land using its built-in skis, Kenn Borek spokesperson Al Hayward said. The airline was planning to change the tire and fly the remaining distance to the Iqaluit airport. (Photo by David Lochead)

Only a Twin Otter can land shorter than final!
