Alianait is gearing up for its second Iqaluit concert of 2019, featuring pop-rock singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas.

Juno-nominated Georgas will play at Inuksuk high school in Iqaluit on April 27.

The Vancouver-based artist just released her latest album The Imprint in March, which features a collection of cover songs by other women artists, like The Cranberries, the Eurythmics and Janet Jackson.

Opening the April 27 show is Igloolik singer-songwriter Angela Amarualik, to promote the release of her new album.

Amarualik won a 2017 Qilaut songwriting award and has been nominated for three Indigenous Music Awards this year.

Tickets for the show are now on sale at Arctic Ventures Marketplace or online at www.alianait.ca.

All Alianait shows are free for elders and children 12 and under who are accompanied by an adult.
