Fireworks light up Iqaluit sky

With no northern lights to compete with, Iqaluit’s New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacle drew cheers and horn-honking from Iqalummiut who watched from several vantage points across the city, Friday evening.
Fireworks were launched from Hospital Hill at 6 p.m. for the family show. A later midnight show was scheduled to officially ring in 2022.
The show was presented by 123Go! and sponsored by Iqaluit Community Events, the City of Iqaluit and Arctic Co-op.
