How to order a library book

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

If you live in one of Nunavut’s 15 communities that don’t have a library, you may still borrow library books using the Borrower by Mail Program.

All you have to do is contact the library headquarters in Baker Lake. They will mail the book to you, at no cost, along with a stamped envelope already marked with the return address. Once you finish with the book, video, DVD or CD, you just have to drop the item into the nearest post box on time.

If you have Internet access, you can search the entire library catalogue to find the book you want at: www.publiclibraries.nu.ca.

If you do not have Internet access, you can telephone, email or fax the library headquarters with a more general request, and they will help you find what you want.
To reach Sarah Sevoga, the technical services manager in Baker Lake, call 867-793-3351, fax 867-793-3360 or email ssevoga@gov.nu.ca. Or write to: Borrower by Mail Program, Nunavut Public Library Services, PO Box 270, Baker Lake, Nunavut, X0C 0A0.
