Hunters found near Cambridge Bay

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Two hunters and two guides lost in a blizzard last week near Cambridge Bay were found in fairly good shape.

Poor visibility hampered the five-day search for the missing group. They were finally spotted 30 kilometres from their base camp late Wednesday afternoon by the owner of Adlair Aviation, Willie Lazerich, who took them to Cambridge Bay.

One of the hunters suffered from frostbite. He was treated at the health centre there and then medevaced to Yellowknife and then on to Edmonton.
