Ice fog descends on Kuujjuaq
A polar vortex has brought extreme cold across a large swath of Canada, including Kuujjuaq, which woke up to ice fog and temperatures of -41 C Friday. Ice fog is a phenomenon that can occur in temperatures of -40 C and colder. When it’s that frigid outside, moisture in the air will freeze, creating fine ice crystals.
