If the ring fits

Police are asking the owner of a missing ring to come forward.

The ring was found at an Iqaluit residence that was burglarized last year. The jewelry did not belong to the homeowners and police believe the ring belongs to one of about 40 homes that were broken into by the same person between 2001 and 2002.

In order to avoid bogus claims, the RCMP are not releasing a description or a picture of the ring.
