Sivuniit Middle School’s gym in Igloolik was a site of spooky festivities Oct. 26 with magic acts, games, slushies, costumes and more.
The weekend before Halloween, people came out to a community carnival to play Plinko for the chance to win candy, and get together to celebrate the year’s scariest holiday.
“No matter if you win or lose, we are just having fun,” said magician Nuka Taqtaq, who performed card tricks during the Halloween carnival.
The weekend’s festivities were part of a larger fundraising effort for a soccer team tournament.
Thursday’s Halloween forecast appears varied across the territory for those looking to get some trick-or-treating in.
