Ilisaqsivik out of luck

The Ilisaqsivik family resource wellness centre in Clyde River will not receive any core funding from the territorial department of health and social services, says a document tabled by health minister Levina Brown in the legislature this past Tuesday.

“There are no resources available for core funding,” Brown told the legislature. Uqqumiut MLA James Arreak asked if the health department would change its decision. Brown responded her department would look at other funding options for the Ilisaqsivik Society with other GN departments.
