Illegal construction stopped

The city’s department of lands and planning discovered that construction of a small engine repair shop was under way without a valid permit in place.

As a consequence, a letter will be sent to a man identified as Mr. Martel offering him seven days upon receipt of the letter to reapply for a permit, or a stop-work order will be issued by the city.

Martel was able to produce a permit he obtained in 1999, but that expired two years ago.
