International Inuit Day celebrated in Ottawa

Timotee Erkloo demonstrates the one-foot high kick, one of the popular Inuit games showcased at International Inuit Day celebrations at Annie Pootoogook Park in Ottawa on Sunday. The afternoon event included singing of Inuktitut songs by the students from Nunavut Sivuniksavut, the downtown school for Inuit students, as well as throat singing, drumming, an arts and crafts fair and a community feast featuring country food staples.
